Performance-Based Question

RJ45 Wiring

Wire Both Ends to T568B

(OBJ.3.2)

Scenario

Work order: a new desk in the sales bay needs a patch cable from the wall jack to the PC. The site standard for this building is T568B, and a PC-to-wall-jack patch cable is an ordinary straight-through cable. You have the cable stripped and the pairs fanned out. Load the conductors into both ends: • Connector A: T568B • Connector B: T568B Pin 1 is on the left, with the plug's clip facing away from you and the contacts toward you. Seat every conductor in both plugs before you submit.

You can reread these instructions in the lab at any time.

Twelve free PBQs are open to everyone at /pbq-practice. The full library is 257 PBQs and labs across both A+ cores.

Then there are the labs.

Build a PC from a bare case: seat the board, the CPU, the cooler, the DIMMs, the NVMe drive and the graphics card, cable the PSU, plug the monitor into the right port, then set the boot device in UEFI. Every step is graded. This one is a recording. You can play the same lab free, no account needed.
