ExamWizardz vs Dion Training

Jason Dion's Dion Training is one of the biggest names in CompTIA prep. His A+ courses sell on Udemy and on diontraining.com: long video courses, timed practice exams, a separate PBQ practice pack and a Core 2 lab. On Udemy the Core 1 course alone lists close to 200,000 students.
ExamWizardz is a smaller, A+-only course built around hands-on practice: 184 interactive PBQs, 90 of them full simulated labs, alongside lessons, practice questions and mock exams in one subscription.
Choose ExamWizardz if PBQs and hands-on labs are your weak spot and you want them in the same plan as your lessons and practice tests.
Choose Dion if you learn best from long video lectures, want a big timed question bank, or want a course whose pass guarantee pays for a retake.

Lecture-led vs practice-led
Dion's courses are lecture-led: about 63 hours of video across both cores on Udemy, plus large timed question banks. If you learn by watching an instructor walk through every objective, that is a strength.
ExamWizardz is practice-led. Lessons are written first with short videos beside them, and most of your time goes into doing: practice questions, PBQs, labs and full mock exams that tell you when you are ready to book.
PBQs: where the two differ most
CompTIA lists A+ among its certifications with simulation PBQs: interactive tasks in a simulated environment rather than multiple choice. Practising that format is what PBQ products are for.
Dion's PBQ Practice Pack is 50 PBQ-style questions per exam for $29.99, and his Core 2 Lab adds 30 Windows modules for $99. ExamWizardz includes 184 interactive PBQs across both cores, 90 of them full simulated labs: desktops, a terminal and a PC bench where you build, POST-test and boot a machine.
Price
Udemy sales make Dion's video courses very cheap; list prices are $99.99 for Core 1 and $119.99 for Core 2. The diontraining.com courses cost $229 and $259 per exam and add the official study guide and a pass guarantee. ExamWizardz is $99 for six months for both cores. Exam vouchers are extra with both unless you buy a voucher bundle. Prices checked October 13, 2026.
