SDHC-only devices are not compatible with the older SD card format, or the even higher capacity SDXC format that supports up to 2TB of storage.

How SDHC-only Devices Work

SDHC-only devices contain specialized hardware and firmware that is optimized to read from and write to SDHC memory cards. This includes the card slot design, data transfer interfaces, and storage controllers.
